Landscapes in Wool - Painting with Wool: Saturday 4th May 2019
Learn how to 'paint' with fibres' to create a picture - abstract or realistic of a landscape or animal for a wall hanging or a piece to frame. You will create you fibre painting using wool and a selection of yarn, fabrics and other fibres which you can later embellish further with stitch and/or needle felting.
During the workshop we will
* Discuss how to create perspective, focal points, balance & composition
*Examine your images to sketch & plan your ideas ready to translate your design into felt.
*Select colours, materials & techniques best suited to realise your design.
*Create your felted landscape / animal design.
One Day Workshop: 10am - 4pm. Participants are asked to arrive at 9:45am for a 10am start.
Some knowledge of felt making us useful, but not essential.
Please bring along a selection of landscape / animal images and/or sketches to work from and any yarns, fabric or other material you'd like to incorporate into your felt image.
Bring a pack lunch. Light refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits will be available throughout the day.
Wear old clothes and/or bring an apron.
Course fee payable in advance in full to secure your place on the course.
